Data Governance Analyst - Collibra Alation Informatica EDC Microsoft Purview
Data Governance (Data Stewardship) roles hold formal accountability as First Line of Defence to ensure that processes and controls are in place to effectively manage data within their Line of Business. These roles support data governance functions in alignment with the Banks data policies standards and strategy and are therefore accountable for Data Risk and Control Management within their Business Segment or Corporate Function.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance & Stewardship
Identify measure and monitor current and emerging data governance and datamanagementrelated risks within the business.
Ensure the Business Segment or Corporate Function adheres to minimum requirements defined in the Enterprise Data and Information Management Policy and associated standards.
Define and execute processes to oversee the Data Inventory and 1A processes including:
Adherence to retention standards (retention schedules Information Holds).
Adherence to disposition standards.
Ensuring adequate retention and disposition capabilities.
Risk Quality & Control Management
Escalate data risks and Data Quality issues as necessary.
Oversee testing and monitoring of data controls.
Monitor and report Data Quality issues and manage Data Quality remediation and remediation planning.
Partner with relevant 1B Governance & Control (GC) functions to support adherence to other datarelated policies and regulations.
Business Support & Advisory
Advise guide and support the business through datarelated processes.
Communicate relevant data risk program updates and developments across the Business Segment or Corporate Function.
Enterprise Alignment
Steward data per TD Enterprise Data Policy Standards and Strategy.
Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies for business activities.
Ensure programs policies and practices are wellmanaged meet business needs and comply with internal/external requirements.
Operational Excellence
Exercise discretion in managing correspondence information and confidential matters; escalate issues when appropriate.
Ensure business operations follow applicable internal/external requirements (e.g. financial controls segregation of duties transaction approvals physical control of assets).
Participate as a subject matter expert in crossfunctional and enterprise initiatives to identify risks and provide guidance for complex situations.
Analysis & Research
Conduct internal and external research and support development of presentations and communications to management.
Conduct meaningful functional or enterpriselevel analysis to draw conclusions make recommendations and assess program/policy effectiveness.

Desirable Skills & Experience
35 years experience as a Data Analyst with:
Data analysis
SQL
Azure Big Data
Technical experience in data management methodologies and data systems.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Experience with advanced analytical tools data analysis methods and specialized reporting techniques.
Basic understanding of databases ETL and reporting; SQL skills using SQL Developer or TOAD to query data warehouses.
Experience with agile methodologies and tools including Jira/Confluence.
Ability to understand Architecture and Network documentation.
Experience working on infrastructure projects (Data encryption Logging/Monitoring Security Tools etc.).
Ability to independently identify assess and escalate issues requiring senior management attention.
Strong communication skills.
