Role: System Support Engineer
Location: Irvine California (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering investigations on complex customer and field system issues.
  • Identify root causes independently and propose solutions to development teams.
  • Provide investigation progress updates to management and regional engineering teams.
  • Take ownership of airline and field-reported issues across Systems Software and Hardware.
  • Establish and execute investigation action plans.
  • Analyze data software logs and system BITE; develop parsers and automation scripts to reproduce rare issues.
  • Use engineering labs to replicate field issues troubleshoot and determine root cause.
  • Collaborate with Software Hardware System Engineering suppliers and Product Design Authority to implement design changes.
  • Monitor effectiveness of fixes in lab benches and airline deployments.
  • Document plans progress and conclusions in issue tracking tools.
  • Participate in Field Issue Review Board and support team investigations.
  • Remotely connect to aircraft to investigate live issues and support urgent AOG fixes.
  • Communicate findings issue signatures impacts and fixes to IFE Engineering and AGS teams.
  • Support meetings with field teams suppliers program management and industry forums.
  • Perform onsite missions to airlines or MROs for major issue resolution and Entry Into Service.
  • Recommend improvements to operational tools data science processes and maintenance algorithms.
