Role: System Support Engineer Level 2
Location: Irvine California (Onsite)
Duration: Contract W2 Only

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely engineering investigations on complex and critical aircraft system issues.
  • Identify root causes independently and propose corrective solutions to development engineering teams.
  • Provide regular progress updates to Management Engineering teams and regional stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of airline and field-reported issues related to Systems Software and Hardware.
  • Establish and execute structured investigation action plans.
  • Analyze system logs software logs and BITE data.
  • Develop data parsers and automation scripts to reproduce rare field issues in engineering labs.
  • Replicate field issues in labs troubleshoot root causes and validate fixes.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Software Development Engineering
    • Hardware Engineering
    • System Engineering
    • Third-party suppliers
    • Product Design Authority
  • Monitor and validate effectiveness of fixes in system benches and live airline deployments.
  • Document investigation plans progress and conclusions in issue tracking systems.
  • Participate in Field Issue Review Boards for assigned platforms.
  • Remotely connect to aircraft to troubleshoot live issues (including AOG situations).
  • Communicate investigation findings issue signatures impacts and fixes to internal teams.
  • Support meetings with airlines suppliers field teams and program management.
  • Travel to airlines or MROs for major issue resolution or Entry Into Service (EIS).
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to operational tools and maintenance algorithms.
