Role: R&D Technician
Location: Cambridge Minnesota (Onsite)

Job Description
Job Summary:
The R&D Technician supports engineering by building modifying and testing prototypes and test fixtures. The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work closely with engineering and production teams.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology OR equivalent hands-on experience
- 5 years in an R&D or engineering environment
- Valid Drivers License
Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Hands-on assembly skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic schematics
- Experience in Marine systems preferred
- Experience with electrical controls preferred
Responsibilities:
- Interface with Engineering Production and Leadership daily
- Build assemble and modify prototypes based on engineering documentation
- Set up and conduct mechanical electrical and functional tests
- Record accurate measurements data and observations
- Provide recommendations based on test results
- Troubleshoot design assembly and performance issues
- Support engineering on installation practices and serviceability improvements
- Provide customer support to dealers and customers (onsite and virtual)
- Maintain and organize R&D tools equipment and materials
- Perform additional duties as assigned
