Position: Packaging Technician
Location: Allentown PA 18106
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM
Pay Rate: $21 per hour Additional $2 per hour for time spent working in freezer or cold room conditions.
Summary
Responsible for handling pharmaceutical or clinical supply products in a controlled environment. Ensures compliance with cGMP standards performs quality checks maintains documentation and supports production operations while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated packaging labeling filling and assembly of pharmaceutical or clinical supply products in accordance with SOPs and cGMP standards.
- Operate clean and set up packaging and labeling equipment following established procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete in-process inspections and quality checks including verification of counts weights labeling accuracy and product appearance.
- Maintain accurate documentation including room logs equipment logs batch records and inventory counts.
- Follow all GMPs safety policies and cleanliness standards to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Perform cycle counts and component reconciliation to ensure accuracy and accountability of materials and finished products.
- Support room and equipment cleaning and sanitization in compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Use computer systems for job sign-in data entry and tracking in-process actions.
- Collaborate with Quality Production and other departments to support inspections audits and production goals.
- Report deviations quality concerns or safety issues to leadership.
Work Environment
- Cleanroom environment requiring gowning procedures
- Exposure to refrigerated (2 8 C) and freezer (-20 C) conditions
- Requires use of PPE including filtering face masks PAPR N-95 half-face masks and safety glasses at all times
- Physically demanding role: standing for long periods lifting up to 50 lbs bending squatting and reaching overhead
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a laboratory cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
- This is an entry-level role and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong hand-eye coordination dexterity and attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Basic mathematical skills (counting addition subtraction multiplication division fractions and percentages)
- Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch records for accurate assembly
- Understanding of GMP SOPs and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and perform quality checks
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and data entry
- Strong teamwork communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with initiative and adaptability
- Willingness to accept feedback and apply corrective/preventative actions
