ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager for W Edinburgh and SUSHISAMBA you will be the key point of contact for our guests while they dine in the restaurant: making them feel welcome taking their food and drink orders making recommendations and ensuring they have the best possible time while dining with us.

Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotels operation and beyond. We are looking for someone who is a people-person loves the buzz of working in a busy restaurant and is passionate about what they do!

As Commis Waiter/Waitress key aspects of your role will include:

• Have a detailed knowledge of the food and beverage on offer in SUSHISAMBA
• Be proactive in learning about our menus and the culture of the places they have been inspired by
• Take food and drink orders and answer any questions on the menu selection including how food has been prepared any modifications that can be made and what allergens are present
• Ensure guests enjoy their time with us checking back for satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions length of wait product availability meal requirements allergies dietary needs and special requests
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas china glass and silver throughout the day
• Restock items
• Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
• Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
• Work as a team with the rest of the SUSHISAMBA team supporting wherever necessary as directed by your manager
