Over the last few yearswevebeen on a continuous improvement journey and are looking to expand the security and resilience team. These new roles will allow us to fully enact our threat-led security program drive further improvements across cyber and support our organisational goal of building a secure and resilient mutual.

We are recruiting for an exciting role as a Cyber SecurityManagerwithin ourData Loss Prevention and Insider threat team. This role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between security and business operations with opportunities to influence enterprise-wide initiatives ensuring that security solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with businessobjectivesand risk appetite.

Their primary purpose is torespond to Data Loss and Insider threat Incidents. You willassess existing security measuresidentifyvulnerabilities and design robust strategies to mitigate risks. You will advise on best practices implement security solutions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

About the role

• The role will take accountability for theday to dayoperation of the SOC DLP / Insider Threat function leading a protective monitoring team to detect and respond to cyber eventsin a timely manner helping to control the damage resulting from cybersecurity incidents.

• Team developmentobjectivesachieved

• Substitute for the Head of Department where necessary communicating the RLG security issues to senior management translating technical security risks into business problems

• All security events investigated and tracked to remediation within agreed SLAs

• Team have the skills to conductproactive threat hunting&analysis of security events toidentifyand prevent security threats from materialising

• Assistin the developmentofuse cases playbookspoliciesand custom tooling to improve our security maturity. Recommend security enhancements and service improvement to help drive effective detectioncontainmentand eradication of security risks.

• Team have the skills to undertakemonitoring of RLG security controls working with the Defence team to testthey areoperatingwithin the expected detection guidelines

• Security event alerting or dashboard improvementsidentifiedto deliver service efficiencies

• Team have the skills to conductcontinuous threat hunting using industry best practices techniques & tooling

• Work closely with the Defence & Threat Intelligence teams for SOC monitoring & threat hunting activities

Recommend dashboard improvements for MI reporting

About you

• At leastfiveyearsof Engineering & Operational experience inCyber security roles.

• Familiar with working toa high levelof accuracy and have a dedicated and focused work ethic.

• Aneffective communicator with proven ability to influence key stakeholders.

• Experience of leading and inspiringcybersecurity teams with differing skillsets.

• Collaborating across different teams and external partners

Advanced knowledge of Core Security Technologies:

• SIEM & XDR

• EDR/NDR

• IAM & PAM

• Zero Trust Architecture

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Security Automation & Orchestration (SOAR)

• Cyber Resilience Platforms

Advantageous: Knowledge/Understanding of:

• Security Incident Management

• AI / ML in Security

• Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)

• Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

• GRC Platforms

• Regulatory Tech
