I. Job Summary:
The Technical Lead – Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native applications and platform solutions for Consumer and SMB customers. This role provides technical leadership across Kubernetes-based platforms AWS cloud environments and modern DevOps ecosystems. The incumbent will drive architectural decisions oversee solution delivery mentor platform engineers and ensure production-ready scalable and commercially effective cloud solutions aligned with business objectives and governance standards.
II. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead technical design and implementation of cloud-native applications and platform solutions.
- Mentor and guide platform engineers on architecture coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Drive long-term technical strategy architecture planning and roadmap execution.
- Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend platform enhancements.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery from design through deployment and production support.
- Ensure solutions are scalable secure reliable and production-ready.
- Enforce GitOps CI/CD best practices and automation-first engineering culture.
- Conduct architecture reviews code reviews and quality governance.
- Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies.

III. Years of Experience:
- 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering Platform Engineering or Cloud-Native Application Development.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or cloud certifications are highly regarded.
V. Skill Set Required:
Must Have:
- Strong expertise in Golang with focus on clean code modular design and scalable API development.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS) including deployment strategies networking scaling and cluster operations.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Experience implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and environment bootstrapping.
- Experience with Docker and containerization best practices.
- Expertise in service mesh and Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as Istio Gateway API ExternalDNS Helm and Kustomize.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability using Prometheus Grafana and Alertmanager.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs with comprehensive unit integration and end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of security and governance tools such as Kyverno or OPA.
- Strong troubleshooting capability across distributed systems networking and infrastructure layers.
