Job Summary
Job Title: General Laborer / Forklift Operator
Location: Nettleton MS
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $17.00 $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (with overtime up to 5:30 PM as needed)
Position Overview:
We are currently hiring experienced General Laborers and Forklift Operators to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves material handling equipment operation and assisting with shipping and receiving in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with warehouse distribution or construction experience will be a strong fit.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts pallet jacks clamp trucks and other equipment
- Complete order picking and fulfillment using RF scanners and warehouse systems
- Assist with shipping and receiving including verifying and handling incoming and outgoing goods
- Perform heavy material handling including lifting stacking and organizing inventory
- Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts and quality checks
- Operate cranes or other machinery as needed while following safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace
- Assist supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse shipping/receiving or construction environments required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe equipment operation
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to lift and move materials consistently throughout the shift
- Experience with RF scanners order picking (including cherry picker) and warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
