Description

MISSION

Oversee the financial operations of the business unit ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Manage budgets analyze data supervise staff and support decision-making to improve the business units financial health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines accuracy and timeliness of payments.

Ensure timeliness of the month end close process adherence to accounting principles (GAAP) internal controls and regulatory requirements; coordinate audits and resolve discrepancies.

Assists with presenting financial operations including monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.

Develop and implement systems for collecting analyzing verifying and reporting financial information.

Assists with monthly closing of financial records and maintaining compliance with reporting standards and regulations.

Advise on financial strategy support managers across departments and contribute to strategic planning.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets monitor expenditures analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.

Intercompany AP/AR: monthly reconciliation balancing and Interco-billing.

Inventory In-transit and Intercompany

Partner with the Operations team to coordinate monitor and record cycle-count inventories including participation in the annual physical inventory.

Maintain Fixed Asset Schedules and record necessary depreciation/amortization

Identify trends recommend system improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Familiarity with ERP Transitions a plus.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by Divisional Controller.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Recruit train supervise and mentor members of the accounting team. Evaluate performance and enforce policies.

Backup Divisional Controller staff and department when necessary

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three years or more of related experience required.

Experience working with accepted accounting principles and accounting software.

Must have AP system experience.

Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.

Strong people skills for interacting with accountants and clients.

Excellent communication skills for communicating with support personnel.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.

Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential.
