Position: Head High School Football Coach
Location: West Bolivar High School
Reports To: Principal/Athletic Coordinator
The West Bolivar Consolidated School District is seeking a dynamic student-centered leader to serve as the Head Football Coach at West Bolivar High School. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing a competitive football program while promoting academic excellence character development and positive school culture.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Mississippi Educator License required
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with school bus endorsement
- Must meet all MHSAA requirements for coaching
Preferred Certification Areas
- College and Career Readiness
- Drug and Safety Education (Health Certification)
- Upper Level Science
Candidates with licenses in other subject areas will be considered (Please Apply)

The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills
- Build a positive disciplined and structured football program
- Emphasize academic achievement and student-athlete accountability
- Foster relationships with students parents staff and community stakeholders
- Exhibit a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field
- Have knowledge of current football strategies training techniques and program development
- Promote teamwork sportsmanship and integrity
- Effectively manage assistant coaches and athletic program operations
- Maintain high expectations for performance behavior and effort
- Be visible and engaged in the school and community
Responsibilities Include
- Planning organizing and supervising all aspects of the football program
- Monitoring academic progress of student-athletes
- Coordinating offseason training and conditioning programs
- Ensuring compliance with district state and MHSAA policies
- Assisting in the overall development of the athletic program
