Role purpose (position scope):

The Business Development Manager (BDM) isresponsible for driving sales and expanding the companys presence within their designated market includes acquiring new business growing existing relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The BDM will work closely with key accounts to understand their needs gather feedback and communicate customer insights to the factory for continuous product addition the BDM will plan and execute strategic sales initiatives to meet both legacy business goals and generate profitable new revenue ultimately achieving the companys bookings and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Opportunity Conversion

  • Identify and convert business opportunities within the assigned market segment to drive bookings and expand Canyons market presence.
  • Develop strategies to grow both new and existing business opportunities ensuring alignment with company goals.

Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with decision-makers senior personnel and influencers at key accounts.
  • Establish and maintain internal sponsors and champions within customer organizations to ensure continued partnership and growth.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a tailored sales strategy to grow existing business and secure new revenue streams within the supported market(s).
  • Leverage market insights to adapt the sales approach and address emerging opportunities.

Quotations & Proposal Management

  • Lead the creation and management of customer quotations ensuring internal approval processes are followed and customers receive timely accurate proposals.
  • Work cross-functionally with relevant teams to ensure that proposals meet customer requirements and expectations.

Sales Performance & Presentations

  • Drive sales performance through both direct and indirect selling including presenting Canyons technical capabilities products and materials to prospective customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations presentations and discussions to effectively communicate the value proposition.

Market Analysis & Strategy Development

  • Analyze market trends customer needs and competitive landscape to estimate potential sales for new products and identify opportunities for market expansion.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and pricing teams to develop strategies that align with market demand and customer expectations.

Customer Support & Service

  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries offering guidance and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers ensuring that Canyons solutions meet their specific needs and expectations.

Product Feedback & Market Intelligence

  • Identify opportunities for product improvement and new product offerings based on customer feedback market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Provide valuable market intelligence (e.g. trends competitive landscape regulatory changes) to the company to inform strategic decision-making.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present regular reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing sales customer and market data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data and analysis to support business decisions.

Continuous Professional Development

  • Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops reviewing industry publications participating in professional networks and staying current on best practices.
  • Continuously benchmark against industry standards to ensure Canyons competitiveness and alignment with market needs.

Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Collaborate withbusiness unitteamsto align sales initiatives with company goals and customer needs.
  • Actively contribute to team efforts ensuring successful execution of sales objectives and organizational goals.

Compliance & Ethics

  • Adhere to Canyon AeroConnects Code of Business Conduct and Ethics ensuring all activities are conducted with the highest standards of integrity.
  • Uphold Canyon AeroConnectsEH&S Environmental Health and Safetypolicies and standards in all sales activities and customer interactions.

  • Achieve above plan booking targets.
  • Regularly visit strategic and target accounts to grow and maintain customer relationships.
  • Drive value create for existing and new products and customers.
  • Communicate voice of customers in support of maintaining the product roadmap.



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited university or college.
  • 3years ofsales experience in the law enforcement military aerospace or defense industry.

Physical Demands:

  • Tasks involve light physical effort in sedentary to light work; may involve some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling of objects or materials (5 10 lbs.).
  • Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard orworkstation.
  • Travel up to 40%.
