Job Summary

Our customer in the Oil and amp; Gas industry is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join a growing Business Intelligence team supporting enterprise data and analytics initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams gathering and translating business needs into actionable requirements and analytical solutions.

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders IT teams and vendors to support and enhance business intelligence applications develop reporting solutions and drive data-informed decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic analytical and technical support for enterprise Business Intelligence applications including SharePoint-based solutions Power BI reporting and SQL Server data environments.
  • Partner with stakeholders process owners end users and vendors to gather and document business requirements for new applications enhancements upgrades and support requests.
  • Conduct requirements gathering through interviews document analysis workshops surveys site visits business process mapping workflow analysis and use case development.
  • Work with stakeholders and leadership to define product roadmaps and prioritize development backlogs.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and recommend system or process improvements based on business impact cost-benefit analysis and technical feasibility.
  • Leverage business and technology knowledge to recommend improvements to systems and operational processes.
  • Monitor and refine supported applications and business processes to ensure optimal performance and value.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of how supported applications integrate with other systems and organizational processes.
  • Analyze information gathered from multiple sources reconcile conflicting data and identify unmet business needs.
  • Partner with analysts stakeholders vendors and end users to conduct user acceptance testing and document test cases.
  • Develop user documentation and training materials as needed to support adoption of BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions and process improvements.
  • Follow established PMO and IT Service Management processes and standards.

Required Skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications systems and business processes
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical and functional requirements
  • Excellent understanding of complex business environments and system integrations
  • Strong analytical problem-solving organizational and planning skills
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presence with the ability to build relationships across departments

Experience and Education
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI required
  • Demonstrated experience writing business requirements and test specifications
  • Experience supporting custom or third-party Business Intelligence solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query syntax
  • Experience with Microsoft SSIS or Visual Studio is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and strategies is a plus

Compensation: and nbsp;100000 - $125000 DOE plus benefits
