JLG is seeking a motivated high school student interested in engineering manufacturing and process improvement to join the Industrial Engineering team as an apprentice. This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience in a manufacturing environment while developing essential skills in industrial engineering problem-solving and efficiency optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standard Work Instructions (SWI): Update and implement changes from engineering modifications.
  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret Change Notices blueprints and facility layouts.
  • Software Proficiency: Learn and use AutoCAD Creo View JED and Microsoft Office.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct time studies process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manufacturing Support: Shadow Industrial & Manufacturing Engineers (IE/ME) and assist with daily production needs.
  • Safety & Organization: Maintain workplace organization (6S) follow PPE requirements and support safety/quality improvements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a logical problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong math analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Interest in 2D/3D modeling (AutoCAD Creo SolidWorks etc.).
  • Punctual detail-oriented and eager to learn.
  • Planning to pursue a degree in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
