Duties

Assist with the installation of geothermal heat pump systems HVAC units and related mechanical components according to schematics and design plans
Support the setup and connection of plumbing refrigeration lines and electrical wiring for various heating and cooling equipment
Learn to interpret technical schematics blueprints and HVAC design documents to ensure accurate system installation
Conduct routine maintenance tasks on installed systems including equipment repair and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment
Help with field service tasks such as diagnosing system issues performing repairs on appliances air conditioning units boilers and ammonia refrigeration systems
Follow safety protocols during all phases of installation and maintenance work to ensure a secure work environment
Support team members in property maintenance activities related to HVAC/R systems and general mechanical upkeep

Qualifications

Basic understanding of construction principles and mechanical systems; previous experience as a service technician is a plus
Familiarity with schematics HVAC design concepts plumbing refrigeration or appliance repair is highly desirable
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical diagrams and operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
Experience or interest in field service work involving equipment repair or property maintenance
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle preferred
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R certifications is advantageous but not required
Willingness to learn welding techniques and basic boiler maintenance tasks
Mechanical or mechanic experience will be considered an asset for growth within the role
