Cafe and Catering Director
Come be the spark at Warm Hearth! Were looking for an experienced customer service-oriented food service professional to be the Villages Café and Catering Director. The director will be responsible for planning executing and supervising all services related to the Huckleberry Café and the Village Gourmet Catering program: from food purchasing and menu design to presentation and the dining experience. The Huckleberry Café provides meals to residents staff and the public from 8am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday. Village Gourmet Catering serves clients located on Warm Hearths campus and throughout the wider Blacksburg/Christiansburg/Radford area. Given the scope of this position a commitment to providing outstanding customer service to residents visitors and staff will be key.
Central to success in this position will be a proactive approach to service experience in systems design and implementation and a high-end dining addition the successful candidate will have a proven track record in controlling food costs menu planning and in effectively training and supervising wait and kitchen staff. Knowledge of Department of Health regulations and the ability to implement a sanitation schedule and log system is also essential.

- At least three years of dining/catering management experience
- ServSafe Certification

- Certification as ServSafe Trainer
- Previous experience working with older adults
