Job Summary
We would like to provide our internal workforce the opportunity to express their interest in the role of Hydrologic / Hydraulic Modeller.
This role will report to Donna Hughes and work closely with theLand & Water Operations Portfolio.
This is a Full-Time Max-Term up until 15th February 2027 Grade 8opportunity.

The Role:
- Support the development and implementation of water resource models and systems for operational decision making
- Provide support and maintenance of water resource models and systems
- Use best modelling practice / procedures / guidelines to undertake projects/tasks as required under the guidance of team leads.
- Develop and apply hydrologic/hydraulic modelling tools for projects in accordance with project requirements
- Work collaboratively and effectively building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality modelling outcomes for assigned projects and tasks.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hydraulic Water Resources Engineering Hydrology or Computational Science.
- Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic/water supply/water data models and systems through post graduate studies or through experience.
- Understanding of hydrometric meteorological and geospatial data.
- Willing to be on-call on weekends if required.
- Desirable: Knowledge of or experience with water modelling decision support frameworks such as MIKE Operations or Delft-FEWS.
