Job Descriptions:
Full-time position with Benefits
The instructor will provide instructional academic and/or prevocational support via direct instruction co-teaching and/or resource supportfor students in AAD programming. This position will collaborate with colleagues to provide accommodations modifications and interventions within the special and general education curriculum. The instructor will be expected to develop lesson plans and teach English math social studies science and a transition course.
Job Expectations:
Manage a case load of students with a full range of disabilities
Serve as a team member in determining and implementing student accommodations referral eligibility placement and individual education program development
Comply with local state and federal regulations regarding special education records reports and services
Maintain frequent and substantive communication with parents teachers related services personnel and supervisors
Assess students needs and develops an individualized education program for students with multiple disabilities
Oversee/provide support for students in vocational courses and/or elective settings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of Special Education
Maintain a positive working relationship with team members to develop coordinate implement and evaluate school curriculum and assessments
Create and maintain a classroom climate that is conducive to the learning process
Notify and collaborate with parents to resolve student/student and student/teacher issues
