Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Resident District Manager (RDM) to lead Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) operations for a higher education campus in Geneva NY. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance of campus facilities including operations financial management capital planning and team leadership across a large unionized workforce.
The RDM serves as the primary executive liaison to university leadership ensuring a safe reliable and well-maintained campus that supports academic excellence sustainability goals and long-term infrastructure planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all campus IFM operations including physical plant custodial grounds energy management EH&S and construction services
- Serve as the senior account leader and primary liaison to university executives trustees and senior administrators
- Oversee operating and capital budgets (approx. $9M annually) with full accountability for forecasting controls and compliance
- Develop and execute long-term facilities strategies capital plans and asset lifecycle programs
- Manage complex construction renovation and infrastructure projects from planning through completion
- Lead and develop a large unionized multi-disciplinary facilities team
- Ensure compliance with safety standards regulatory requirements and institutional policies
- Build strong relationships with academic leaders staff students and labor representatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Integrated Facilities Management or large-scale campus/complex operations
- At least 5 years in a Director-level (or equivalent senior leadership) role (required)
- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar operating and capital budgets
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary IFM teams (physical plant custodial grounds EH&S energy construction)
- Strong background in managing unionized workforce environments
- Demonstrated executive-level stakeholder engagement including C-suite or senior academic leadership
- Prior higher education or university facilities experience strongly preferred
- Comparable experience in hospital systems government campuses or large multi-site IFM environments may be considered

- Permanent direct hire position

Compensation
- Competitive salary range: $131000 $150000 annually
- An additional benefits package is provided
