Job Summary

Overview

Kemin is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Des Moines Iowa! This position will manage business units accounts payables in a timely and accurate manner maintain documentation for compliance to policies and procedures inventory and other expense reporting. The ideal candidate will have a high level of accountability for their work be able to work with minimum supervision and have a good attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately scan code and key invoices.
  • Able to manage time to ensure transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
  • Follow and document processes and procedures.
  • Work across departments and business units to resolve issues with transactions.
  • Provide accurate data consistently.
  • Reconcile accounts.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of applicable experience as an Accounting professional.
  • Able to read write and handle basic math problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Office and Excel.
  • Able to learn new computer applications.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Able to see and read numbers.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
