JOB SUMMARY:
BKV Corporation is looking for a Health and SafetySpecialist III. The Health and SafetySpecialistis a key role in the Environmental Health Safety and Regulatory (EHSR) department and will be responsibleto championanddelivertop tier health and safety performance for BKV. The Health and SafetySpecialistis accountable to foster health and safety related workflows and provide guidance and support to the operations field teamsengineeringand others focusing on personal and process safety performance alike and lead investigations and indecent or violation reviews.

The Health and SafetySpecialistworksclosely with the Health and Safety Manager and Operations Teams to provide the structure and oversightto ensure the departmentsoperateefficiently and safely delivering key Health and Safety performance and compliance.

This role sets objectives and goals for the Health and Safety team to achieve organizational results.Ensureteam members and stakeholders understand and follow policiespracticesandprocedures. Problems faced may be difficult butgenerally arenot complex. Demonstrates integrityaccountabilityand transparency; upholds BKV standardsvaluesand culture.

This roleis responsible forthe implementation and improvement of the safety program across assets and works withmanagersto affect companywide health and safety practices and performance. The position will guide the activities of both field and operational staff to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.

This individual is a recognized subject matter expert in EHSR matters. The Health and SafetySpecialistis responsible forworking to achieve operational environmental health safety and regulatory targets that have a major impact on departmental and business results. Work is performed with limited oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical job responsibilities of theHealth and SafetySpecialist IIIinclude:

  • Coordinate and deliver safety compliance through the development and implementation of BKV programspoliciesand systems.

  • Drive operational excellence in safety performance and compliance. Audit performance and compliance with safety programs and systems. Communicate findings to EHSR management and oversee implementation of corrective actions.

  • Work closely with operational and engineering staff to solve complex safety issues and drive system-wide program implementation.

  • Conduct BKV incident and accident investigations and reporting and assist with case management.

  • Role model compliance with company safety policies. Conduct training and coach operational staff throughsite basedand in-person meetings with limited oversight from manager.

  • Maintain current technical and businessexpertiseincluding staying current on Federal State Local and industry regulations and ensuring that BKV is compliant with regulations.

  • Promote a culture of safety and continual improvement.

  • Advise and support operations on EHSR matters.

  • Manage and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with ISNetworldsafetyand operational standards

  • Influence and train staff members on policiespracticesand procedures.

  • Perform other duties asrequired.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of OSHA TRRC TCEQand DOT regulations and API standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficientin technical writingpresentationsand training.

  • Proficient in computer software applications (e.g.Microsoft Office).

  • Strong project management coaching andleadershipsskills.

  • Self-motivatedgoal orientedandable to handle multiple projects.

  • Analytical. Keen investigative auditingfacilitationand problem-solving skills.

  • High levelof integrity.

  • Growth mindset with a demonstrated ability to innovate embrace change and havegrit.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of experience in occupational health safety and DOT management; oil and gas upstream and/or midstream experience preferred.

  • Bachelors degree preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • Experience in behavior-based safety applicationsa plus.

  • Certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The position is aligned with BKV offices in Denver CO; Fort Worth TX; or Tunkhannock PA and may be performed remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

  • Occasional travel (25%)alloffices/assetsand as neededto support business needs.

Work Environment:

Hybridofficeandfieldbasedpositionwith standard business hours; extended hours may be required depending on business needs. May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Base Pay:

  • $79000 - $150000 (Midpoint $109000.00)
