Overview
A Human Resource Intern is responsible for managing HR administration responsibilities to deliver an excellent staff experience while supporting employee relations and departmental goals.
*NOTE: this position is a UNPAID position that requires you to have full availability for 4 months (May to August) and that you are doing this internship as a required part of your current degree. *
What will I be doing
The Human Resources Intern coordinates and implements department activities and projects as assigned. Provides clerical and office support and assistance to department management. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Maintain communication with departments involved in the assigned project/activity -
Route incoming mail faxes and packages
Assist the HR Coordinator with Recruitment and Onboarding procedures
Coordinate with other departments in organizing internal recognition events
Writes correspondence on behalf of the department
Makes copies send/distributes outgoing mails
Uses email system to deliver and accept emails
Assist with a variety of requests & documentations
Maintains detailed filing system for department
Maintain office supplies for department
Report all unsafe conditions immediately
Attend all mandatory meetings and taking minutes
Follow and know emergency procedures as needed
What are we looking for
A Human Resources Intern serving Hilton Brand hotels is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviors skills and values that follow:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree/ diploma/ certificate with a requirement for work integrated learning/internship.
Previous experience in or equivalent role is an asset but not required
Excellent communication and people skills
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service both internally and
externally
Excellent grooming standards
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on their own or in teams
Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook
