Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Analytics Professional to join the team. As an Analytics Professional you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. Do you want to use your analytical mindset and grow your technical skills while developing solutions to problems In an increasingly connected world massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities.
On our team youll use your communication skills and analytical expertise to create real-world impact. You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team of data analysts data scientists data engineers electrical engineers test engineers developers and data consumers in a fast-paced agile environment directly assisting Department of Defense clients such as the U.S. Air Force in the testing and certification of new or modified aircraft systems. Youll work closely with clients to understand the requirements behind every effort and then dig into their data and documentation to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. Youll run analytical tools clean and transform data conduct research draft review and edit analytical reports and effectively communicate results to the client in support of their decisions. Youll guide teammates and help lead analytical processes and the development of algorithms and systems. Youll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. Ultimately youll provide a deep understanding of the data what it all means and how it can be used.
Responsibilities
How Youll Contribute:
As a client-facing data analyst on our team youll:
- Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
- Research develop and testdatamethodologies and generate cross-functional solutions through collection interpretation design of experiments evaluation and analysis of largedatasets.
- Apply consulting skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends based on the audience.
- Presentdatafindings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge ofdatabases scripting languages such as R or Python and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
- Applydatavisualization through different formats such as graphs tables PowerPoint presentations and dashboards.
- Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and bigdatato createdata-centric solutions across the testing and evaluation industry.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance:Must have and be able to maintain a Secret-level clearance
Education:High School Diploma
Years of Experience:
- 2 years of experience withdataexplorationdatacleaningdataanalysisdatavisualization ordatamining
- 2 years of experience communicating analysis both in written and verbal form
Additional Experience:
- Experience writing analytical and technical reports and developingdatavisualizations to deliver key insights
- Experience with a scripting language such as R or Python to extractdataand perform analytics and visualizations
- Knowledge of gooddataprinciples includingdatacleaning preprocessing and wrangling
- Ability to clearly convey complexdatainsights to non-technical stakeholders and provide writing samples
- Ability to maintain accuracy while dealing with largedatasets with a high attention to detail and quality
- Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance:Top Secret
Additional Experience:
- Experience with inferential statistics including hypothesis testing and confidence intervals and design of experiments
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum and DevOps principles
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with electrical engineeringdatasuch as sensordata signal processing and system logs
- Experience with the 1553 bus system
- Experience in Developmental or Operational Test and Evaluation
- Knowledge of descriptive statistics including measures of central tendency and dispersion
- Knowledge of probability distributions both discrete and continuous
