About the Role

You will play an important role in supporting pupils of all abilities ensuring that lessons are inclusive engaging and aligned with the schools high expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing practical and theoretical scientific knowledge

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback

• Ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed at all times

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Supporting extracurricular science opportunities and STEM activities

• Creating a positive and respectful classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

• Be able to motivate pupils and support their academic development

• Work effectively within a collaborative department

• Be committed to professional development and continuous improvement
