About the Role

You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while supporting pupils of all abilities to make strong academic progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing strong theoretical and practical understanding

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Science examinations

• Delivering safe and effective practical experiments

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM activities

• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

• Be able to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific learning

• Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
