About the team and the role:
You would be joining the Seller Experience organization within eBay which is at the heart of the overall eBay marketplace. The Seller Experience team focuses on end-to-end digital experiences for our sellers making it seamless to list sell and grow a thriving business with eBay. Our Sellers are at the center of everything we do and our product engineering and design teams obsess over building best-in-class experiences that our eBay seller community loves.
This role sits in the Inventory Management product organization of Seller experience focusing on building the most simple and seamless way for our Sellers to list their inventory on eBay.
You will own the complete vision and end-to-end execution of the Global Shipping experience across Web Native and Backend platforms for our and effectively champion a data-driven and market-informed product strategy that aligns to our eBay corporate strategy and delivers tangible outcomes for our Sellers and the eBay business.
What you will accomplish:
Drive the end-to-end Global Shipping experience across Web Native and Backend platforms ensuring a seamless and scalable seller journey
Develop a compelling and iterative roadmap and launch plan that supports both our marketplace business growth goals and our seller success metrics
Own globally shared product elements while balancing regional complexity ensuring solutions scale across geographies with varying constraints regulations and user needs
Collaborate with senior leaders across eBays management team to align plans with partners in the core product design and technology teams as well as within the teams across functions: analytics marketing operations sales and strategy
Influence without direct authority across a wide set of stakeholders aligning multiple product teams and driving cohesive shipping experiences
Champion a strong user interface and experience quality bar ensuring intuitive high-quality and consistent design across all seller touchpoints
Demonstrate a relentless focus to listen to our end-users and feed their voice into our product development process. Leverage design and research partnerships to get insights and feedback throughout the entire product lifecycle. Build processes for continuous improvements
Create connections and processes across teams that will drive efficient cross-team collaboration and clear alignment
Create scalable processes and deliver with speed and transparency leveraging AI tools and automation to improve productivity across the product development lifecycle.
Practice a decide and go mentality across you and your team to prioritize and propel the product development process forward to hit our targets. Partner closely with Program Management to manage through blockers and communicate dates and achievements
Work passionately on behalf of our sellers and the relentlessly improve experiences for our sellers influencing a higher bar on quality and ensuring the seller is always at the center of our product roadmap and priorities
What you will bring:
7 years of experience in building products deep expertise in customer focused product management and product development lifecycle
Experience leading complex multi-phase strategic product(s) with a strong understanding of global marketplace nuances including geographic variability regulatory considerations and localized user ability and in-market examples of managing a product that drove significant impact for millions of end users at a global
scale
Exceptional analytical attitude with a successful track record and specific examples of launching products with measurable impact on a global scale
Advanced understanding in data analysis; able to self-serve and work with analytics partners to figure out tracking is needed synthesize/report results etc.
Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle from planning through deployment; experience using test and validation frameworks throughout the product lifecycle. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams
Experience working with design research and qualitative tools to ensure the voice of our seller is at the center of our product development
Strong product intuition with a sharp eye for UX/UI quality and experience consistency
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in highly cross-functional environments without direct authority over all contributing teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track nuanced differences across geographies in a complex product space
Strong concise communicator and effective story-teller; experience using both analytics and qualitative research to express the vision and strategy of the product
Practical experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate product development workflows decision-making and experimentation velocity
Technical depth and proven experience building cohesive experiences across web native mobile platforms and backend systems.
