About the Area

The Research Partnerships and Innovation division manages UOWs intellectual property portfolio and supports the commercialisation of research related activities. This includes overseeing contractual aspects of commercialisation maintaining IP records and systems and operating the Universitys Technology Transfer Organisation including the Technology Transfer Committee.

About the Role

The Intellectual Property Administration Officer provides high quality administrative and coordination support to the Research Partnerships and Innovation Unit ensuring the smooth operation of intellectual property and commercialisation activities. You will maintain IP databases and records liaise with external IP legal firms support IP workflows such as student IP Deeds and provide full committee support to the Technology Transfer Committee. The role also includes financial administration including processing patent related expenses reconciling operational costs and supporting reporting on technology transfer activities.

In addition you will contribute to broader unit operations including business development record keeping office and resource coordination event support and occasional executive assistance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a complex and dynamic environment has excellent attention to detail and is keen to develop specialist knowledge in intellectual property administration while supporting impactful research and innovation outcomes.
