The Fraud and Error Units mission is to identify address and prevent fraud and error ensuring the integrity of benefit delivery and supporting public trust in our services.
This role plays a critical role in the running and development of the Monetary Value of Fraud and Error team ensuring the provision of data which is used to publish the official statistics relating to fraud and error across the Scottish Social Security Benefit caseload. The Team Leader is also responsible for generating outcome reports on key error trends and risks across benefits identification of continuous improvement opportunities across benefits and contributing to the development of this service.
Responsibilities
Contributing to the creation and then implementation of processes to support comprehensive high-quality fraud and error measurement through cyclical sampling activity.
Exploring and implementing opportunities to identify and correct fraud and error utilising the findings of fieldwork exercises to influence strategy and operational policy.
Contributing to analysis and production of reports on fraud and error risk to inform continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
Workforce planning recruitment induction and training.
Providing guidance and support to staff as required especially for unusual high interest or complex cases.
Taking appropriate measures to ensure the health safety and wellbeing of yourself and your staff.
Coaching developing leading and motivating your team to achieve team objectives.
Ensuring that appropriate MI is collected to inform service development and meet reporting requirements.
