Contract Type: 14-month Fixed-Term Contract 35 hours
Salary: Starting from 40649 per annum (London weighted salary) or 36073 per annum (Regional salary) dependant on experience
Grade: 8
Reporting Office: London Stratford or Manchester Trafford
Persona:Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Your impact in the role:
- Reviewing tax accounting entries to ensure the VAT recovery matches the VAT returns including monthly and quarterly VAT reconciliations to the general ledgers.
- Documenting analysing and reporting VAT exceptions and errors for resolution.
- Processing requests from departments for new accounts and ensuring that these are set up correctly with regards to the Tax Value Matrix in the ERP system.
- Supporting the implementation of the new ERP system and the embedding of new tax processes in respect of the Groups VAT reporting.
- Assisting with further developments of the Groups financial information systems for VAT recovery purposes working collaboratively with colleagues across the business as required.
- Responding to general tax queries from colleagues on a timely basis with input from the Tax Manager/Tax Accountant as appropriate.
What youll bring:
- Strong knowledge of VAT principles including partial exemption as well as practical experience of preparing VAT returns and reconciliations.
- Experience of using Unit4 ERP system is highly desirable.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- MS Office skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to analyse large volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator at all levels.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
