Job Summary

SQL Server Developer - SSIS

Banking Domain

Role Description

Analyze highly complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to create data pipelines for applications.

Create templates for data file preprocessing parsing and transformation.

Leverage industry and client best practices to design test implement and support data solutions.

Review code changes for applications and perform unit testing.

Support integration testing and quality assurance activities.

Debug endtoend application flow identify errors and perform causal analysis.

Mentor less experienced developers and trainees.

Conduct daily syncup calls with the offshore team resolve issues and provide ongoing support.

Assist with creating standards and architecting new client solutions.

Collaborate with other teams to integrate components and run endtoend workflows.

Essential Skills

At least 5 years of experience in data development and/or relevant tools.

Expertise in MS SQL Server and related tools.

Advanced knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.

Proficiency with Stored Procedures and Functions.

Handson experience with DTS or SSIS.

Experience with scripting and understanding of advanced concepts.

Proficiency with various data formats: XML CSV fixedlength delimited.

Working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and Artifactory.

Strong understanding of sorting bundling and data aggregation.

Ability to provide accurate time resource and dependency estimates for MS SQL projects.

Knowledge of banking document development lifecycle (data processing).

Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.

Banking and financial domain knowledge (Statements Canadian Taxes Cheque Processing).

Ability to work independently and collaborate with other teams to integrate workflow components.

Experience working with offshore counterparts and resolving issues.
