Franklin Technology Center and Joplin High School are seeking a dynamic and dedicatedBusinessInstructor to teach secondary-levelbusiness courses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business and marketing education a passion for teaching and a collaborative mindset. Candidates should be enthusiastic energetic and committed to supporting student success in both academic and career readiness.
Responsibilities Include:
Deliver instruction in a variety of business subjects
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with current industry standards and Missouri CTE frameworks.
Support and advise students involved in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) including FBLAandDECA.
Foster a positive inclusive classroom environment promoting student engagement and academic achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues advisory committees and industry partners to enhance curriculum and provide real-world learning opportunities.
Participate in professional development and contribute to ongoing program improvement efforts.

Essential Functions:
- Provide instruction to students
- Create and implement a classroom disciplinary plan
- Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction
- Participate in building grade-level and subject-area committees
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance grades and discipline
- Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns
- Report suspected abuse neglect discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
- Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
- Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously
Move around the classroom
Read handwritten or printed material
