Whats the role

Youll join Westpacs Corporate and Business Development team as part of an internal advisory group working on some of the banks most important strategic decisions. This is a hands on role where youll help shape growth opportunities across acquisitions divestments and investments primarily within financial services and with some of the most exciting new and upcoming organisations locally and globally.

Youll spend your time building financial models analysing opportunities preparing clear advice for senior leaders and supporting transactions from early thinking through to execution. Youll also keep close to market and sector developments helping the team stay ahead of emerging trends and opportunities.

Youll work in a collaborative high performance environment that values curiosity learning and teamwork. This is a fulltime role based in our Sydney office where youll be trusted to take ownership contribute ideas and grow your capability alongside experienced leaders and advisors.

What do I need

Were looking for someone whos technically very strong intellectually curious and thrives in a collaborative environment. If youre passionate about working with businesses strategy and transactions and ready to make an impact this could be your next move.

Youll have:

  • 2-4 years experience in investment banking big 4 transaction services corporate finance private equity or M&A advisory.
  • Strong financial modelling research and valuation skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Proactive detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Builds trusted relationships and thrives in collaborative environments.
