As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in San Francisco CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents unusual activity and/or critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout assigned buildings grounds entry points and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and activity within assigned areas verify credentials when required and document security-related incidents observations and/or daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Support order at the location by following post instructions assisting with directional information and reporting maintenance hazard and/or procedural issues to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
