Role Summary
In this role you will serve as a strategic business partner to cross-functional Commercial and Marketing teams in preparing brand budgets and strategic plans monitoring brand financial performance and providing insightful analysis that shapes business decisions across assigned brands and categories . This position is exciting because it sits at the intersection of finance and brand strategy giving you direct visibility to senior management and a tangible impact on brand profitability and growth. The single most important outcome for this role is to maximize the profitability and financial health of assigned brands by delivering sharp data-driven insights and stewardship of brand P&Ls that enable smarter faster commercial decisions .
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end brand financial planning cycle by leading the preparation of brand budgets latest estimates and strategic plans ensuring that financial targets are aligned with business priorities for assigned brands and categories
Lead performance management of assigned brands and categories translating financial results into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement in brand profitability by owning margin reconciliation analyses closely monitoring performance versus budget/latest estimates and proactively identifying levers (e.g. mix pricing cost promotion efficiency) to protect and enhance margins
Serve as the primary finance partner to Brand and Commercial teams by providing rigorous financial support competition deep dive and scenario planning for key initiativesincluding promotions new launches and relaunchesand ensuring decisions are grounded in robust P&L and ROI analysis
Shape commercial and promotional strategy with Marketing and Customer Marketing by co-owning the evaluation and finalization of promotional schemes/programs quantifying their financial impact and monitoring trade and marketing spends versus budget/latest estimates to maximize return on investment
Drive Revenue Growth Management (RGM) priorities through AI-powered insights translating external market and internal data into actionable initiatives that deliver sustainable profitable brand growth plans as aligned with the Company strategic framework
Partner cross-functionally with key stakeholdersincluding Commercial Teams Marketing Customer Marketing and Senior Managementto ensure that financial implications are embedded in major business decisions while acting as an influential individual contributor who connects brand strategy with financial outcomes
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance
At least 5 years of diversified financial experience in areas such as budgeting financial planning and analysis and/or brand or commercial finance support
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Suite skills for financial modeling variance analysis and management reporting
SAP proficiency with hands-on experience using SAP financial modules and reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrable through prior finance or commercial support roles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a CPG / FMCG environment particularly in brand commercial or trade finance partnering with Marketing and Sales teams
Demonstrated strength in key functional competencies such as Analysis & Decision Making Planning & Priority Setting and Effective Execution especially in fast-paced matrixed organizations
Proven ability to apply consumer / customer focus and strong teamwork and collaboration in line with Colgates LIFT and leadership behaviors
Familiarity with additional financial planning reporting or BI tools (e.g. planning systems data visualization tools) beyond SAP and Excel
Professional finance or accounting certifications (e.g. CPA CMA CFA) or equivalent advanced training which enhance financial and analytical rigor (preferred but not mandatory)
