Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Preparing pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations
Supporting practical experiments and investigations in a safe and structured environment
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to support improvement
Collaborating with colleagues to develop schemes of work and departmental initiatives
Participating in extra-curricular activities such as science clubs or trips
Maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of varying abilities
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
Be committed to continuous professional development
