Job Schedule: 4/10 shift Mon-Thurs 0600-1630: Employees work 10 hour days 4 days a week
Job Description:
Supervises the functions of the Warehouse Material Handling Traffic Receiving and Shipping departments. Compiles records related to the quantity cost and type of materials received in stock or issued. Instruct employees to identify damaged or incorrect materials and equipment and notify the appropriate individuals. Supervises employees using various equipment such as forklifts hand carts and power trucks to move materials parts assemblies and finished products within the plant office or warehouse. Oversee the processing and delivery of supplies materials and equipment. Manage the daily operations of the Logistics Department ensuring that inbound and outbound freight schedules are met corporate policies and procedures are adhered to and equipment and staff are utilized optimally to maximize productivity. Ensures compliance with 49 CFR and IATA regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct basic supervisory functions such as work scheduling prioritizing and process execution and personnel management
- Operate WMS system to ensure overall inventory accuracy
- Manage inventory levels for direct indirect and MRO materials
- Lead the team in internal and external audits
- Champion Corrective Actions Requests
- Ensure Associates are complying with procedures and policies
- Qualify as an ATF Responsible Person
- Perform tasks using a ladder with possible heights up to 10ft.
- Manage team training
- No travel required occasional overtime
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years or more experience with basic/intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications Excel Word Outlook and Teams
- Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy
- Capable of bending twisting and lifting to 40 lbs
- Demonstrated aptitude in DOT regulations
- Experience with HAZMAT handling and shipping
- Experience with Lean and/or Electronic Manufacturing
- APICS Certification is a plus
