Posting Title: Corrective Action Program (CAP) Coordinator - Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing
The Corrective Action Program (CAP) Coordinator will assist the Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing team in the evaluation trending and tracking of manufacturing Condition Reports (CRs) and the formulation of effective actions to address CRs. The CAP Coordinator provides input and support in action implementation and closure processes including documentation assistance.
The successful candidate will successfully interface with various levels of employees and management analyze data to proactively address issues and recommend actions to enhance and sustain corrective actions. The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Become familiar with products processes requirements and procedures used in Fuel Manufacturing team.
Assist Responsible Managers in reviewing Condition Reports (CRs) identifying appropriate actions assisting action owners in developing and documenting Corrective Actions with focus on robust and timely action implementation.
Conduct trending analysis for Condition Reports by identifying adverse trends through documented observations corrective action programs (CAP) self-assessments benchmarking operating experience (OPEX) and performance indicator data.
Accurately maintain various databases files and other information repositories. Aid the team in completing various CAP processes technical analyses and the associated documentation. This includes quality self-assessments CRs etc. Gathers analyzes organizes and summarizes data into cohesive documentation.
Assist Responsible Managers in the development of action plans and projects that support identified improvement efforts.
Assist in incident reviews including Human Performance Review Boards (HURB) as necessary to ensure quality Condition Reports.
Prepare reports for management review meetings and other performance improvement meetings.
Support the Observation and Coaching program managing the observation database tool and training and supporting staff.
Support data mining of the Operating Experience (OE) and Lessons Learned (LL) program to assist in the sharing of industry and internal operating experiences
Required Qualifications
Education- One of the following:
o 2-year Associate degree 4-year college degree or equivalent education credentials from an accredited institution.
o High school diploma / GED and 1 year experience in an industrial or military setting.
Desired Qualifications:
o Experience with corrective action programs in a manufacturing engineering or nuclear business environment.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in nuclear industry standard process improvement tools and methodologies. Strong knowledge and application of INPO standards.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Knowledge of nuclear safety culture and industry regulations.
