We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join a interdisciplinary team within a hospital-based consult service in Dallas Texas.
This role will focus on providing comprehensive psychological assessments accurate diagnoses and evidence-based therapeutic interventions across diverse patient populations while also contributing to program development and clinical excellence.
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee medical care delivery within Correctional Health programs ensuring coordinated and high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with Behavioral Health leadership to facilitate integrated physical and mental health services.
- Provide clinical leadership in adult and womens health services ensuring compliance with established clinical guidelines and spearheading quality improvement initiatives.
- Adapt communication and care strategies to cater to the unique needs of diverse patient demographics including individuals with sensory limitations and the aging population.- Cultivate and maintain effective partnerships with correctional agencies healthcare leadership external partners patients and their families.
- Contribute to the formation execution and evaluation of departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead clinical teams through recruitment training mentoring and performance evaluation to optimize patient outcomes.
- Act as supervising physician for advanced practice providers offering guidance to nursing leadership.
- Engage in educational activities for residents students and clinical staff.
- Serve as a liaison between correctional healthcare providers and external services including primary care specialty clinics emergency departments and inpatient facilities.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare laws regulations and standards impacting correctional medical services.- Support the development and revision of clinical protocols policies and procedures for improved care delivery.
- Contribute to onboarding processes and patient education initiatives promoting wellness.
- Oversee quality improvement efforts and performance management programs within correctional health services.- Assess and enhance workflows staffing models and operational processes for greater efficiency.
- Assist with physician recruitment and implement retention strategies for high-performing clinical staff.- Stay current on advancements in medical practices and integrate these into clinical operations.
- Demonstrate a patient-centered ideology through respectful communication empathy and clarity in care delivery.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance system-wide goals and improve patient outcomes.
**Accountabilities:**
- Identify and implement strategies for process improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed on developments in the field through seminars workshops professional journals and active participation in professional organizations; integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations guidelines and accreditation standards. Develop internal controls to promote adherence and seek guidance for proper understanding.
**Skills and Special Abilities:**
- Expertise in specialized areas of psychological practice (e.g. child psychology palliative care addiction counseling corrections).
- Extensive training supervision and clinical experience or certification in the designated specialty area.
- Proficiency gained through dedicated training settings including practicum internship post-doctoral training or fellowship focused on specialized practices.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive treatment assessments and interventions effectively.
- Knowledgeable about the symptom development processes relative to the conditions being treated.
- Trained in evidence-based specialized treatments (EBSTs) with preferred certification in these modalities.
- Familiarity with Clinical Psychology principles competency in psychological assessments psychotherapeutic techniques family systems and developmental orientations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to address the needs of aging and disabled patients comprehensively.
- Exemplify patient-centered behaviors and a commitment to patient-valued practices.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

- Completion of an accredited residency program (ACGME or AMA approved).
