Job Summary
Senior IT Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 534764)(to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a recognised Degree/Higher Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer-related disciplines with good command of written and spoken Chinese and English. They should possess relevant work experience in the IT industry and/or in tertiary education sectors; be competent in personal computer hardware installation maintenance and troubleshooting; have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office 365 web application and database system. They should also be fast-learners hard-working good team players and have a strong sense of responsibility. Those with proficiency in web-based application programming such as HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery PHP SQL will be an advantage.
The appointee will provide multifaceted IT supports to the department maintenance of computers equipment logistics housekeeping of computer room technical assistance for office operations quality IT services to users; assist in developing an in-house web application system and designing workflow to streamline the asset management in the department; and perform any other duties as assigned. On-job training will be provided. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.
