The Global Content Services organization is responsible for the global processes and technologies for product content management and delivery at Konecranes. We are now looking for an experienced and talented Global Terminology Specialist to join our team.
This role is a fixed-term parental leave substitution for 1 year starting from May 2026.
As a Global Terminology Specialist you will be responsible for leading and managing terminology work across the organization. The role combines hands-on expertise in terminology management with responsibility for maintaining and developing terminology processes and tools ensuring consistency clarity and accuracy across company content and processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong linguistic background experience in terminology management and process development and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of a multilingual terminology database including linguistic research validation and continuous improvement to ensure the database remains a key resource for stakeholders.
- Terminology process and tool development: ongoing evaluation and optimization of terminology tools and workflows to support efficient high-quality output.
- Governance and quality control: maintaining terminology governance practices including terminology approval updates and compliance with corporate standards.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product management engineering marketing and localization to ensure terminology supports business needs.
- Localization support: close cooperation with localization teams to support terminology adaptation across languages.
- Stakeholder engagement: collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather feedback and support continuous improvement in terminology management.
- Training and guidance: providing training and support to ensure terminology guidelines are understood and followed across corporate functions.
Qualifications :
What we expect from you:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Linguistics Translation Terminology Management or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as a terminologist or in a related terminology management role. Experience in process development is required; background in information design technical communication or taxonomy work is an advantage.
- Tools: Experience with terminology management tools (e.g. Kaleidoscope Quickterm) and familiarity with localization tools and content management systems.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Finnish is required; German is considered an advantage.
- Strong project management skills with experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
