Job Summary
Position Overview
Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a regional flatbed position based in Peru IL. This role offers strong weekly averages consistent freight and reliable home time with the potential to be home during the week depending on routing.
Drivers will haul building materials across multiple states with steady miles and high earning potential.
Route & Freight Details
- Regional runs across:
- IL WI IA MN MI OH IN PA MO NE NC SC VA and more
- Average:
- 2300 miles per week
- 4 stops per week
- Freight includes:
- Concrete fiber siding (building materials)
- Load type:
- 90% live unload / 10% drop & hook
- Nearly 100% preloaded trailers
- Equipment:
- 48 flatbed trailers (spread axle)
Schedule
- Monday Friday
- Start time: 6:00 AM
- Drivers typically:
- Stay out during the week
- Home weekly (weekends)
- Some drivers may get mid-week home time depending on location
- Option to be off for major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas
Pay & Compensation
- Avg Weekly Pay: $1650$1900
- Avg Annual Pay: $87700 $100000
Mileage Pay:
- $0.64 $0.68 CPM
Additional Pay:
- $35 stop pay (avg 4/week)
- $25 tarping pay per load
- $15/hour breakdown & weather delay pay
- Spotting pay: $23$34.50/hour
- Off-account work: $300$350/day
- Holiday pay: $200/day
- Training pay: $200/day
Equipment & Work Setup
- Automatic sleeper trucks
- 48 lightweight flatbed trailers
- No slip seating
- Ability to take truck home (with safe parking)
Work Environment
- Flatbed work (tarping and securement required)
- Two tarps per load (75 lbs each)
- Active hands-on driving role
- Training provided if new to flatbed
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
- No endorsements required
- Must be able to:
- Perform tarping and load securement
- Handle physically demanding work
- Work full weekly schedule
