Our partner Bryant Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take ownership of complex infrastructure bids across the Arizona market. This position is ideal for a professional who wants to play a strategic role in winning work influencing project direction and contributing to long-term growth.
In this role you will lead estimating efforts on large-scale civil and transportation projects including roadway aviation and site development work. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop competitive risk-aware bid strategies that align with operational capabilities and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans specifications and geotechnical data to develop accurate and competitive estimates
- Conduct site visits and pre-bid assessments to identify risks and opportunities
- Determine scope breakdown between self-performed work and subcontracted trades
- Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software tools
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and provide award recommendations
- Lead internal bid reviews and ensure alignment on pricing and execution strategy
- Support business development efforts by contributing to win strategies and proposal positioning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil or roadway estimating
- Proven experience estimating grading paving concrete and transportation infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid
- Strong analytical communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced results-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aviation or airport-related projects
- Familiarity with AGTEK On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Primavera P6 or similar tools
- Experience with DBE/SBE participation and compliance requirements
