Heavy Civil Project Engineer

The Project Engineer role supports on-site execution of heavy civil construction projects for government state military and private clients. The position focuses on ensuring projects are delivered safely efficiently and in compliance with specifications quality standards and schedules.
The engineer works on one project at a time primarily involving roadway and drainage construction along the U.S. Mexico border (Texas California Arizona) with projects starting in early 2026 and lasting around three years.
Key responsibilities include project planning (scope budget schedule) site investigations reviewing designs and specifications preparing work plans and safety analyses coordinating with stakeholders monitoring construction activities ensuring compliance and maintaining project documentation and reporting.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of heavy civil construction experience with knowledge of quantity take-offs and Primavera scheduling. A degree in construction management or engineering is preferred. The role may require obtaining security clearance and involves occasional travel.
