For accurate salary information call or email The Puyallup Tribe of Indians provides a generous benefits package that includes employer paid medical dental vision life insurance a retirement/401(k) plan with profit sharing paid holidays and paid time off including birthday Summary:The Shellfish Farm and Wild Harvest Manager will be responsible for day to day operation of a shellfish farm including but not limited to: sourcing clam and oyster seed planting growing harvesting processing transporting shellfish from farm to buyer and keeping all required manager will also organize the exercise of treaty rights to harvest naturally occurring clams and oysters on private Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcures and plants shellfish and maintains anti-predator growth and health of shellfish by checking density size and protects crop from severe with regulatory agencies to maintain all required harvest environmental conditions and adapt growing methods to prevent adverse effects to shellfish health and and supervise harvesting to meet demand and ensure quality survival and growth information and keep inventory of shellfish on the gear and infrastructure. Repair clean and replace as methods for optimal performance of the farmSynthesize all records into a coherent report and communicate the results to various groups of follow all legal requirements to notify property owners and schedule population surveys on private and public beaches to determine if a natural bed of shellfish follow all legal requirement to notify property owners when a harvest will occur on private or public for and or conduct shellfish harvests on private and public all paperwork required for commercial harvests on private and public potential cooperative activities between the tribe and private beach owners to maximize shellfish harvest budgets and farm supplies equipment and seed production yields and forecast future other duties as ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises Farm employees if applicable. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
