Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our clients teams at (1) of their properties in DeLand FL (32724). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in maintenance have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. HVAC and EPA experience required certifications highly preferred. CPO experience certification is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire for the right candidate.

This role will be working with (1) community with 228 affordable housing units.

Salary: $21.18/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday Friday 8am-5pm.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the general appearance and maintenance of the property to help create a great living experience for our residents.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains repair/replace leaking faucets remove/replace caulking replace different components of toilets adjust/replace door closures and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

At least 2 years experience in residential maintenance.
HVAC and EPA experience required certifications are highly preferred.
CPO experience certification is highly preferred.
Be able to pass a background check before starting.
Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
