At Ring we build devices that help people feel safer at home and were looking for a Hardware Technical Program Manager to help us do that better and faster. Based in Taipei youll coordinate hardware development across multiple engineering disciplines keeping programs on track from early design through to production. Youll work with cross functional teams to ensure designs stay aligned with product goals and collaborate regularly with overseas teams and suppliers to move concepts into reality. This is a hands-on coordination role in a fast-moving environment and fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
Key job responsibilities
As a Hardware Technical Program Manager in this role you will track development progress across electrical mechanical camera audio power and thermal engineering teams ensuring deliverables stay on schedule and aligned with product requirements.
You will own day-to-day milestone tracking identify risks early and escalate blockers to keep programs on schedule. You will run structured design review checkpoints maintain clear status reporting and drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholders. You will also contribute to building and improving program management processes that support organized scalable hardware development across multiple concurrent programs.
A day in the life
Your day typically starts with a check-in on program status across the hardware teams you support reviewing where design reviews stand whats blocked and what needs to move before end of day. Youll spend a good portion of your time in cross-functional syncs with engineers across electrical mechanical systems camera audio power and thermal disciplines making sure dependencies are visible and nothing is falling through the cracks. When issues surface and they will youre the one pulling the right people together clarifying the problem and driving toward a decision.
A significant part of your week involves working across time zones. Youll be in regular contact with overseas teams on design direction and implementation and coordinating with production suppliers on manufacturing readiness.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 2 years of analytical quantitative communication and presentations experience
- 4 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent
