Job Summary
The ideal candidate is a proven people leader with strong experience in the consumer electronics industry and a solid track record in strategy development contract negotiation cost management supplier performance management and cross-functional business execution. This leader should be comfortable operating in ambiguity able to influence across global stakeholder groups and capable of translating complex business and supply chain challenges into clear actionable strategies.
The successful candidate will bring strong executive communication skills sound business judgment and a solution-oriented mindset. They will build trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders influence decision-making across Product Engineering Operations Finance and Supply Chain teams drive CM performance and accountability and develop a high-performing team that can support Rings continued growth and operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead coach and develop a high-performing team by providing structured guidance clear expectations and ongoing support.
- Foster a culture of ownership accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Set clear priorities and ensure team execution is aligned with Rings business objectives product roadmap and operational goals.
Supplier & Contract Manufacturer Management
- Serve as Rings primary business interface with global Contract Manufacturers (CMs) managing strategic relationships to optimize production efficiency cost quality delivery and overall supplier performance.
- Lead CM selection onboarding contract negotiation and performance management processes across new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining programs.
- Build and maintain trust-based strategic partnerships with external suppliers and CMs to support Rings long-term growth product innovation and manufacturing scalability.
Cost & Contract Negotiation
- Lead complex commercial negotiations to secure best-in-class business terms improve cost competitiveness enhance flexibility and mitigate supply chain and execution risks.
- Develop and implement scalable cost reduction programs value engineering initiatives and operational efficiency improvements to strengthen Rings supply chain competitiveness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost opportunities validate business cases and drive measurable financial impact.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
- Translate diverse stakeholder requirements across Engineering Supply Chain Finance Product Quality and Operations into clear actionable CM strategies.
- Drive strategic RFQs manufacturing footprint optimization CM allocation decisions and technology readiness assessments in alignment with Rings product roadmap.
- Develop long-term CM strategies that balance cost capability capacity risk innovation and portfolio health.
- Stay current on industry trends tariff developments country-of-origin regulations regional manufacturing shifts and evolving global business dynamics to inform CM strategy and decision-making.
Business Communication & Influence
- Prepare and deliver clear concise and impactful executive-level communications business reviews strategy documents and decision papers.
- Influence stakeholders across Amazons global ecosystem through data-driven insights structured recommendations and strong business judgment.
- Build alignment across senior leaders cross-functional teams and external partners by simplifying complex business trade-offs and driving decisions with clarity.
Adaptability & Innovation
- Navigate ambiguity uncertainty and changing business priorities with agility resilience and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Identify and adopt scalable AI tools systems and mechanisms to improve operational efficiency decision quality and business visibility.

About the team
Ring and Blink are committed to making neighborhoods safer by delivering accessible reliable and innovative home security products to customers around the world. The Supply Chain and Operations team plays a critical role in bringing this mission to life by supporting the business from product concept and development through NPI launch and sustaining operations.
Within this organization the Business Management team serves as the key business interface between Ring/Blink and our global manufacturing partners. The team works closely with Product Engineering Supply Chain Finance Quality Operations and external Contract Manufacturers to ensure we have the right manufacturing strategy supplier partnerships cost structure and execution plans to support Rings product roadmap.
In this role you will help solve complex business and supply chain challenges including CM strategy manufacturing footprint optimization cost competitiveness supplier performance and production readiness. You will work with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders across regions to turn product ideas into scalable manufacturing plans that can be executed with speed quality and operational discipline.
This is a team that operates in a fast-moving ambiguous and highly cross-functional environment. Success requires strong business judgment ownership collaboration and the ability to influence without always having direct authority. The work is challenging but it directly impacts our ability to deliver trusted products to customers and advance Ring and Blinks mission of making neighborhoods safer.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of people management and team development experience
- Solid experience in supplier and Contract Manufacturer (CM) management within the consumer electronics (CE) industry.
- Proven track record in contract negotiations and cost management with measurable results.
- 5 years of business development direct technology services sales partnership management or sourcing new business experience
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity manage change and drive alignment among cross-functional and global stakeholders.
- Excellent professional business communication skills (English written and verbal) with strong executive presence.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business Operations or related field.
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders C-level executives and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of international supply chain dynamics tariffs and compliance requirements.
- Experience developing operational processes and data insights
- Experience implementing scalable tools and systems that improve efficiency in supplier/CM management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable strategies.
