To support implementation of districtmath programs and initiatives (Pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade).
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Masters Degree from an accredited university withcurriculum required
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Elementary Certificate
GT and ESL Certificate preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum instruction assessment and staff development
Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teacher effectiveness
Strong organization communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines and TEKS for K-4
Knowledge of best practices in development in math curriculum
Knowledge of current research-based math instruction
Experience:
Five years successful elementary classroom teaching experience inmath required
Classroom experience at both primary and upper elementary levels preferred
Experience with planning and presenting staff development presentations required
Experience in development ofmath curriculum instruction and assessment programs
required
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Pay Grade: 60
