Director will be responsible for the discipline of students and supervision and mentoring of faculty as well as the development of a positive school culture. The Campus Director is fully responsible for the implementation of the Classical Curriculum. Classical curriculum cultivation of moral character and partnership with parents are cornerstones. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Four-year degree from an accredited College or University (Masters Preferred)
- Teaching certificate or school administrator certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in an educational environment
- 3 years of experience working with administrative leadership clients and/or stakeholders and/or education personnel related to school improvement facilitation of learning or related educational interests
- 3 years of experience in supervising a staff of 5 or more
- 3 years of experience in managing budgets
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state education laws.
- Strong organizational time management communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clear understanding of development of students and the classical approach.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students parents teachers the community administrative staff and Regional Directors.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of students their parents teachers the community peers administrative staff superintendent and home office staff.
- Ability to interpret policy procedures and student data such as diagnostic test results state assessments scoring transcripts and grade point averages.
- Ability to speak in public on a frequent basis
- Able to cast a vision for the future of the school
- Able to explain what a classical education is
- Ability to travel as necessary
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Directly supervises employees in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Interviews hires and trains employees.
- Plans assigns and directs work.
- Appraises the performance of staff rewards and disciplines employees according to the Classical Academys policies and procedures and addresses and resolves complaints and problems.
- Advocates nurtures and sustains a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
- Ensure management of the organization operation and resources for a safe efficient and effective learning environment.
- Collaborating with faculty and community members responding to diverse community interests and needs and mobilizing community resources.
- Acts with integrity fairness and in an ethical manner.
- Understands responds to and influences the political social economic legal and cultural context of the assigned student population.
- Develops and evaluates educational program to ensure conformance to state and school board standards.
- Develops and coordinates educational programs through meetings with staff review of teachers activities and issuance of directives.
