RF & Microwave Designer

Job description

• Design simulation and test of RF & microwave circuits based on discrete components
• Analysis of RF specifications for telecommunication systems
• Definition of analogue system topology and derivation of subsystem specifications
• Circuit and system simulation with suitable software package
• PCB layout with a suitable software package
• Fast prototyping of microstrip filters and simple circuits
• Tuning RF filters to obtain the wanted behaviour
• Analysis of shielding and crosstalk behaviour
• Analyses: Worst-case conditions part-stress signal-integrity and cascade analyses
• Design for EMC/EMI qualification
• Design linear or switching DC/DC converters and assess their regulator stability
• Drive the mechanical integration including shielding

Required Qualification

• Master in Electronics or equivalent through experience
• PhD in Radio Frequency engineering antenna design or radar is an asset
• Deep understanding of high frequency behaviour of electronic circuits is a must (>10GHz.)

Expected experience

• At least 5-10 years of experience
• You have a passion for high frequency techniques
• Experience with EMC certification is an asset

• Ability to work effectively and independently
• You are able to subdivide a telecommunication system in its key building blocks
• You have good notions of key performance parameters of system building blocks
• You can use a soldering iron to perform fast prototyping
• Fluency in spoken and written English
